OUR SERVICE: Flying Nurses International specializes in commercial airline medical transports. Since 1993 we have completed of over 6000 safe missions. We consider ourselves pioneers in providing medical escort services. Flying Nurses International is owned and operated by experienced critical care flight nurses. Whether you are  traveling on a commercial airline or a private chartered aircraft, we will customize your travel plans to meet your needs. Medical escort services with an experienced flight nurse is a cost effective alternative to air ambulance services for the medically stable patient.OUR PHILOSOPHY: We uphold a conservative and thorough approach to determine proper safety throughout the transport process. Each member of our RN team, from the executive level, to the management level, to the flight nurse, understands that every patient is to be treated as if they were a member of their own family. Each patient deserves an equal amount of attention and respect regardless of culture, condition, location or cost. Our primary focus is, safety-first, for both our patient and our nurse. OUR ROLE: From the first phone call to the safe arrival at the patient's destination, a transport is managed by one of our critical care Flight RN Coordinators who is available 24/7. The Coordinator will manage every detail of travel from bedside to bedside. Flying Nurses International assists with all phases of travel, starting from: your home, a hotel, a cruise ship or hospital bed, until you reach the final destination. OUR SCOPE OF CARE: We travel with patients who have restricted ambulation, orthopedic injuries, behavioral health disorders, neurological injuries, supplemental oxygen requirements and complex respiratory needs. Many of our patients require full assist transfers from bed, to chair, to aircraft seat. I.V. fluids, medications, and oxygen therapy can be administered en-route. OUR STAFF: Flying Nurses International has over 40 critical care and emergency medicine registered nurses with specialized training in aviation physiology, airline logistics and aircraft safety. Our flight nurses travel worldwide, many are bilingual, and are based in 12 locations throughout the US including Hawaii along with our international location in London England. |
